How to re-freeze a Slurpee
This instructions are merely experimental, and very tedious, but in my experience they work. I wrote them myself...

Ever had a Slurpee, that by the time you got to it, it had melted into a useless liquid that while yes you could drink it, it was not quite as good as the original slurpee? Well, here are some instructions on how to re-freeze a Slurpee:

You will need:

  • A deep bowl (however no deeper than the fore-named cup, cylinder preferred to dome shaped, you'll understand why if you try it..)
  • A cup to hold former Slurpee liquid
  • LOTS of ice, and I do mean a lot
  • Water
  • Rock salt (regular salt will work.. but not as well)
Instructions
  1. Empty the remaining Slurpee type liquid into a cup that can handle water without breaking down (the actual Slurpee cup may be sufficent)
  2. Place the cup in the bowl
  3. Surround the Cup with ice
  4. fill bowl with water (mix with ice, don't get any in the cup)
  5. fill water/ice mixture with the salt, DO NOT get any in the slurpee (duh)
  6. Mix the slurpee mixture slowly... too fast won't work.
Ideally you're doing what the Slurpee machine does...

This entire process can be acomplished with a home ice cream maker.
