Past Classes Schedules

Why the stupid schedule?
Because I'm sick of school and I want an easy quarter. 12 credits is the minimum and sounds awfully nice. I don't have any CS classes this quarter because I only need more more and nothing I need is offered this quarter.
- PHYS 123 - (4 credits; Section BA) Waves.
- PHYS 133 - (1 credit; Section ZC) Lab for 123.
- GEOG 100 - (5 credits; Section AT) "Maps for Jocks" ... elementary school geography: get maps and fill in country names and color them with crayons and try not to draw outside the lines, but if you do it's okay, we'll still give you a good grade because you tried hard.
- MUSIC 116 - "Music for the Clueless" ... assumes you've never played an instrument in your life. Having played piano and saxophone, I should be fine.

- CSE 143, "Programming II" - C++. *yawn* Can't wait to get these intro classes over with.
- SPAN 103 - More Spanish. This one's all taught in Spanish. Great.
- MATH 308, "Linear Algebra" - From what everybody says, this is one of the easiest
math classes here at UW, especially compared to 307, which was a bitch. This is just a bunch
of matrix math... stuff we did in junior high, I believe. Anyway, this concludes my intentionally
light spring schedule.

- CSE 142, "Programming I" - Introduction to computer programming. I've never
taken a class that I had so much fun in and didn't have to study for at all. Although I tested
out of this class, it was recommended that I take it anyway, just to show off. <grin>
- SPAN 102 - More Spanish. I don't think I'll ever be fluent.
- MATH 307, "Differential Equations" - I'd always loved math, up to now. Are
differential equations actually used for anything? We didn't cover any application in this
course whatsoever. Just doing problems the whole time. Pretty boring.
- PHYS 121/131 - Mechanics. The same physics I did in high-school.

- SPAN 101 - Introduction to Spanish.
Past Classes
A brief summary of signifigant classes I've taken in the past and what I've got out of them and what
I've thought about them
Senior Year, Aloha High School
- AP English - Very Good Teacher! Learned a lot, read a lot of fine English works. Unfortunately, the teacher was a religious freak and we had to read the bible towards the end of the year "for spotting allusions in literature". Uh-huh. Anywa
y, Nick and I had fun tearing it apart.
- AP Calculus - learned calculus... fun class... tons of late night study sessions with Elisa. Got a 5 on the AP test at the end of the year so I was able to skip a few quarters of math in college.
- Physics - learned that reading the book is often more useful than listening to bad, lazy teachers. I loved physics though, it's fun stuff.
Junior Year, Aloha High School
- AP History - Wonderful Teacher. Tons of essays and DBQs. Had to memorize all 50 Presidents' names, election years, parties, etc. Did a bunch of programming for the teacher
.
- AP Biology - learned that making snazzy multimedia presentations scores lots of points with teachers. Oh yeah, I also learned that biology has a lot of weird vocabulary you have to memorize. And you don't learn about bears or goats, you learn
about little endoplasmic reticulums and golgi apparati.
- Honors Pre-Calc - More math... Math is easy.... I like math.
- German 2 - Ich spreche Deutsch, aber nicht sehr gut... German was a fun class. I was doing contract programming work for a German guy at the time so it was very convenient. I also did a bunch of programming for this class... games, quizzing
programs, you name it.
